  The stereotyping was sometimes hard to watch. But the movie is really sad but also very beautiful (I've been to Pangong Lake, where some parts of the movie are shot, and the movie took me back!) Also Lee Pace's iconic outfit

  I guess the plot can't be helped if it is based off of true events (literally coercion). The dialogues and casting though were very heavy handed and felt kind of oppressive (including that one comment by Daniel Craig's character about drag queens which was so triggering and actually kind of spoiled my entire experience).
