I’m not even being mean bc it’s Colleen Hoover, I honestly walked in with not too bad expectations. But the dialogue was just so disgusting. Why didn’t Lily’s facial expressions line up with what was happening. Zero chemistry between Lily and Ryle. Important message with lazy and boring execution. I couldn’t take anything seriously probably because at least half of the frames were close ups of Blake’s face

The first half was so cringe. once I understood the twist it made more sense. Like it makes sense that the dialogue was all Manosphere-y, and that Bellatrix was the most insufferable manic pixie dream girl I've seen, and that I had to put my hands over my hears for some of the lines. Like I guess that was the point? To feed into Tyler's illness, and to show that his world had become so delusional that it was ridiculous.…
