Scary demon mommy saying "good girl" did something unexpected to me.
I fucking loved every minute of this. It was everything I could want in an Evil Dead movie. Alyssa Sutherland was the perfect deadite, what an absolutely chilling performance.
I really loved the location change; usually scary stuff only happens in big isolated homes or a cabin in the woods, so well-populated apartments felt safe from the horror movie tropes, and now they do not!
