  growing up is stealing lipgloss and thongs. its taking cigarettes from your mom's purse or the cold, wet sidewalk. its throwing up and crying after smoking something you shouldn’t have. its kissing with too much tongue. its scabs from shitty little tattoos. its eating nothing but drinking a lot. its bloodstained sleeves and pencil sharpeners. 

  it doesn't have to be, but it usually is. whether you’re 13 or 15 or 17, it is. and it sucks, which is why i think this movie is so important, i love it.

  i think this is the only movie that has ever made me feel genuinely sick; there was a deep pit of dread in my stomach that did not ease up even once. 

  that being said, this is a masterpiece :’) as is any piece of media that can induce such strong emotions
