There are no heroes in war.
The film addresses all the important themes such as propaganda, racism, war trauma, and survivor's guilt, but the confusing narrative structure across different timelines diminishes its overall impact. The intensity of Letters from Iwo Jima is only matched in the battle scenes.

A completely insane script, an absurdly star-studded cast, and a modest budget make Death Train a film that would hardly be possible today.
This is also due to the german railway reform of 1994 and the associated cost-cutting measures, which would make it impossible to take several DB employees hostage and travel across the entire country from Bremen without major incidents.

An almost two hour long music video/acid trip for teenage edgelords.
The soundtrack is superb and the cast delivers great performances, but the forced artsy weirdness when it comes to storytelling and camera is really exhausting. The media criticism is so blunt, it is completely devalued.
In the other hand there is a small amount of Wrestling (Tatanka!) but even that doesn't save this film.They really put all this work into a movie that is just like "TV bad!!!!!".
