  I don’t know how I missed this in the 90s, but I’m glad I did so I could see the real version. That said, if I’d seen this in high school, it would have been a barometer for whether or not someone was worth bothering to get to know.

  The story feels rushed compared to the original, but I like that they updated it for the social media age. I’ve never seen the stage musical or heard the songs before, which I have a feeling I would enjoy more than this. Overall, it felt ridiculous, but it was fun and I enjoyed watching it.
