I'm 100% percent genuine when I say that this film changed so much about my perspective towards film-making. The whole directing is incredible, so unique while being so attatched to its world.
At the start of the film, the absurdity pushed me away a bit. I love absurd films, it's a big part of my preference that I love when films over-exaggerate the real world to an ironic extent that it becomes almost non-sensical. However, the film did feel a…

partially as fun as the final film, but clearly longing to be more than what it is and ends up feeling incomplete

Grand, so incredibly grand that it becomes overwhelming at times. Multiple characters with different desires talking over each other and stealing the voyeuristic camera so that it focuses on their life.
It gets too messy for my preference, but I can't deny it's really fun, and really REALLY american.
As entertaining but at times obnoxious as the US itself.
Nevertheless, I'm really enjoying my Altman marathon, I love his directing style even here when it's a bit too much.
