    Da 5 Bloods is as succinct a history lesson as you'll get in a 155 minute movie. An all-encompassing tale of the trials and tribulations of black Americans post-Vietnam (or shall I say American) War. It was extremely refreshing to see a war film told from the perspective of African Americans and how they dealt with the fact that they were risking their lives for a country that treated them as second class citizens.

    Plainly and simply put, this film is a masterpiece. A one of a kind, no-holds-barred story of revenge and it's impact on the human psyche.

    The story is captivating, tragic, funny and straight-up twisted. The way it all comes together in the end leaves you satisfied but also repulsed. The ambiguity leaves room for interpretation but also makes you wonder whether the characters involved deserve closure.

    The action is brutal, visceral and realistic. It is shot in a masterful way.…
