As a trainee teacher, the number of safeguarding issues in this made me absolutely sick to my core.
A really interesting look into section 28 from the pov of a lesbian teacher. However, first 30 mins is just (soft)porn.
Jean was definitely unlikeable at points but appreciated the attempt of a character arc.
The camera / effects / whatever they did, really transported us back to the 70s/80s and couldn’t believe it came out in 2022!
Really empathetic with both David and Benji in this and you almost wanted to join in with the conversations they were having.
Benji is an interesting character - he’s complex but also simple ( don’t get us wrong - at points he is insufferable)
Felt really sorry for David at some points but there were times where he could’ve been more sympathetic.
Both of these characters made us look inwards and reflect on how we would’ve reacted in their situations. …
If scary movie, scream and every rom-com ever made had a baby - it would be this film.
Amazingly married the rom-com and slasher genre. Acting was believable and chemistry was good! Love a villain who hates a specific holiday

Genuinely one of the best movies we’ve seen together to date
The characters were fully fleshed out and we believed all of their motivations and traits.
We had both seen the trailer so the plot twist about Iris being a robot didn’t come as a shock to us, however, we were still able to appreciate all of the groundwork and hints you get before it’s revealed.
