  the cinematography, soundtrack, and color-grading is absolutely beautiful but the storyline is disgusting and it shouldn’t get the amount of praise it does. it normalizes predatory queer relationships, horribly misrepresents mlm, depicts the glorification of grooming, and that alone is a crime punishable by death but a lot of you aren’t ready for that conversation. not to mention, why the fuck did sufjan stevens have to go so hard on the songs he made for this film
