me trying to tactfully imply someone in workshop wrote the last 5 pages of a story an hour before class: The ending just seems, um… to move at a faster pace than the rest? I was surprised by, uh, the way that the piece did decisively chose to avoid answering some questions it had previously asked. Really makes you wonder whether endings even “have to,” like “tie anything up” at all. Thought provoking, honestly.
