This movie is LUSH. Giant trees, grassy battlefields, hills lined with greenery that everyone is swishing through. I want to go rambling in those hills. Cozy.

The Garden of Sinners: Paradox Spiral 2008
Alright I'm now Nasu-pilled. Finished a route of Tsukihime yesterday and today this banger. Does it make sense? Yes? Thematically it comes together well but in a grander sense I'm still lost. Beautifully so. But still lost.
The color-work, the animation, the symbolism. All brilliant. Do I have any idea what anybody is talking about? No? The Nasuverse makes Metal Gear look simple by comparison. But I want to understand this lore and that is part of the fun.Translated from by

The Matrix Resurrections 2021
Everyone in this movie is very hot. I was sitting there in an empty weeknight showing with Japanese subtitles, clapping and guffawing at how hot everyone was.
A simultaneous middle finger to the modern sequel and also a charming return to the film series I grew up with. This ain't as good as the original, and it doesn't wax philosophically as well as the original two sequels. Nor does it have the action set pieces of any of those films. But it has a hell of a lot of heart.
