Like 90% of the refernces went over my head, but it was fun trying to follow along with the meadering yet stimulating discussion. Love the choreography of character intentions playing into the conversation as you slowly realize what they're trying to get at. Can't wait for the re-watch

I honestly don't know why I didn't give it 5 stars. A fun story about heros and side kicks (honestly hero support seems intentionally lame to me). The stunts go hard and I'm totally here for it! Minimal CGI which is surprising for a film of this era. I heard they even got the high school to float somehow (/j). Only down side, it gets a bit cheesy, but I feel like they lean into it. Again, could be a 5/5 on the right day, but I'll settle with a 4
I love rewatching this movie with a beer or two. This time through, I really enjoyed Philip Seymore Hoffman's performance. I came up with a great term for Steve Buscemi's character: the idiot straight man. Most of the references go over Donny's (Steve's character) head, but it highlights the tangential voices of the Dude (Jeff) and Walter (John). It highlights and underscores the absurdity of the conversation. In pervious showings, I would go along with the sentiment "STFU Donny" since…
