Ralph Fiennes is officially one of my favorite actors. It checks almost all my boxes: political intrigue, good cinematography, amazing costumes, great acting. Plus it has one of my new favorite monologues.
The twist with the intersex Pope at the end seemed a little random, and I think they could have gone deeper with that. But I may just need to read the book if I want more…
Somehow this movie gives me the same vibe as Zombieland meets Kill Bill meets Everything Everywhere All at Once
I liked this movie, I liked the performances. But overall I think this is a movie I only needed to watch once, and that’s okay. It doesn’t really have the same vibe that draws me to the other Nolan movies. It’s worth discussing in its technical brilliance, but I’m not convinced it’s a movie I’m going to be raving about years in the future.
