  I’ve never seen a movie with worse musical numbers in my life. I could not connect to any of the characters emotionally and was often left wondering about the reasons for their actions. Emilia Pèrez’ development made little sense to me. This movie made me physically cringe on several occasions and the blatant transphobia is disgusting. 
  There were so many opportunities to make this film good but they were missed spectacularly.
