Dune 2021
Overall this movie disappointed me. I was not prepared for half a film taking 3 hours in the telling. Nor was I particularly enamoured by the cultural misappropriation of the bagpipes. Third let.down was the insipid nature of the portrayal of Jessica Atrides. Not nearly as strong as she should be. In the plus side we get good representation of the harkonnens and the demise of Atrides' is well done. The set piece action scenes were well choreographed. I will see the second movie and hope as a piece they carry the story.
