  Masterpiece in storytelling and character development. A simple plot handled beautifully. Blown away by how they were able to humanize without anthropomorphizing. You’ve seen these beats before between humans. You can almost hear the dialogue in your head at times. The scrappiness of the production only makes it better.

  Exceedingly fine. Soulless rehashing of the first, a bit like Force Awakens/New Hope. The political subplot made no sense the longer it went on. A few cool moments for sure. Felt like it was trying very hard to be A Gladiator Movie, becoming a self parody at times. Denzel was great playing a 21st century actor dropped into 300 AD, Mescal felt like he did what he could with 3 pages of speeches, Pedro is still my dad. Also too long. STUPID ending.
