Okay Sean, I was unfamiliar with your game

When it comes to giving Best Picture to my favorite of all the nominees, the Academy is now 3 for 3 (Still need to see The Substance but that’s the only one I think could possibly top this)

Gotta shoutout Hulu for the atrocious and unintentionally hilarious ad placements. Mid-scream cut into a Hims ad is cinema.

If you’re still reading, join me on my quest to watch every film ever nominated for the big prize (I’m seven percent of the way there!)

This will likely be the best film this year to feature monsters called “creepers”

    North Hollywood

    ★★★½

To label North Hollywood as outsider art, or even as a true "independent" film, is a bit of a stretch. Director Mikey Alfred admitted in an interview with Complex that he comes from a family of industry insiders, and this is not to mention his own personal involvement in directing skating/music videos and producing Mid90s. Rather, North Hollywood, or "NoHo," serves as proof of the cutthroat mentality of Hollywood at large. You can have more film experience at 25 years…

    Storm Lake

Okay but imagine this as a sitcom, a la Parks and Rec. If the elongated shot of Art Cullen's wife watching him on TV while feeding jelly toast to her albino bunny was real, think of what a professional writer's room could make up.
