stunning film - the ephemeral story with the game design-esque art is so magical & alluring 💌

felt like a totally different film watching it a decade later…

This film simultaneously gave me such comfort and broke me. Haven’t so passionately loved a film in a while. The score is incredible and makes for such a great mix to listen to even outside the movie. Left with yearning more and less from life at the same time. 

If only I could watch it for the first time once again…it would be my one wish for a genie.

made with lots of heart ~ loved the performances, stills and the sound design. reads like a love letter to the lonely, the ordinary, and to life in mumbai (or honestly nyc, so many parallels). especially loved that it was through the pov of migrants from the south…it was so special to listen to malayalam throughout the film. ✨
