Watched it at Busan International Film Festival (BIFF) 2024. Not really a fan of BTS, and never knew anything about RM before, although I am familiar with other K-pop artists such as BigBang, IU, Lee Hi, Girls Generation, etc.
As someone not familiar with BTS works, I can say that RM made this documentary seriously. It was well executed. He talked about his latest solo album which was also well produced. I like the music.
Looking forward to RM’s new album.
Watched the movie at the theater yesterday. Really love it! Not sure if it’s based on Tolkien’s book or notes, but still the movie fits.
Set around 180 years before The Hobbit events, we are taken to Rohan Kingdom. You will see familiar places here, including Helm’s Deep and Isengard. Familiar names are also mentioned.
The art itself is mesmerizing….. love the landscape! People might mention its influence from Ghibli movies. I would say the style is close with Avatar:…
A Remake From Il Mare (Korea movie)
Not many realize this movie was a remake or western adaptation of the Korean movie, Il Mare. For those who were disappointed with The Lake House, go watch the original. For those who admire The Lake House, go watch the original.
It is much, much better and touching.
If not for Barbara Carrera & Michael Pare’s sex scenes, this movie would be very easy to be forgotten.
As much as I admired the plot and cinematography, the acting of both leading actor and actress was below expectation. In fact, below standard. I wasn’t expecting this to be Festival Film Indonesia (FFI) class, but they should’ve be more convincing: their gesture, voice, tension, emotion, etc. Heck, even their make up, clothes and hairstyle did not suit as port workers.
Couldn't see this movie at the opening of Busan International Film Festival 2024 as I arrived two days after..... although could watch it in Netflix, this movie should be seen on wide screen theater.
Based on actual events in Joseon Kingdom 16th century when Gyeongbokgung Palace was burnt to the ground and Japan invaded Joseon.
In my opinion, the film Napoleon does not explicitly show the character of Napoleon who is ambitious in wanting to dominate Europe. In the film it appears that he carried out various invasions, including becoming a council member & later emperor, all because of circumstances. Not because he wanted to. It is also unclear how the French political elite united to overthrow him and exile him to Elba. Only the explanation about the defeat in Russia was the trigger. This film should have been longer.
Perhaps the worst Justice League animation I ever watched. Superman, Wonder Woman & Batman’s mind infiltrated by The Martian Manhunter, who is trapped inside War World, summoning for help. The three Justice Leaguers believed they are stranded in other time and place, not knowing their own identity. You better watch it for yourself.
Saya sudah 2x nonton Quantumania. Semalam yg kedua bareng keluarga, dan setelah nonton saya apresiasi Quantumania ini. Penilaian saya kini lebih baik dibanding pertama nonton.
Banyak review bilang film ini kurang nendang sebagai pembuka MCU Phase 5. Menurut saya Quantumania tepat sebagai pembuka dan dieksekusi dgn baik. Memang tidak sepenuhnya film heroik, dan lebih mirip film keluarga. Terutama seputar Scott & Cassie Lang, Hank Pym-Janet Van Dyne-Hope Van Dyne, dan Scott-Hope.
Konon Kang The Conqueror ini bakal melanda jagad MCU, sudah dimulai sejak film seri Loki. Ngga sabar menantikan serangan Kang The Conqueror pada film2 selanjutnya.
Bersetting di Bhutan, Ugyen Dorji harus menjalani masa tugas wajib negara berupa menjadi guru ke daerah. Mirip2 dokter kalau di Indonesia. Dia sendiri ngga minat jadi guru karena bercita2 jadi penyanyi. Sudah apply visa ke Australia. Suara dia memang bagus.
Penempatan tugas menjadi gurupun sangat menantang. Desa Lunana, terletak di perbukitan dan paling terpencil. Tidak ada listrik. Dan perjalanannya pun 6 hari jalan kaki setelah terminal angkot terakhir. Sepanjang perjalanan Ugyen tidak bersemangat dan kerap ditunjukkan kepada pemandu perjalanan.
