R Patz x2 is pretty great and I’m deeply impressed with the work in making each Mickey unique. But overall this felt like a revisit of the parts of Okja that didn’t work for me plus a lackluster shadow of Snowpiercer.

Basquiat 1996
A little more typical biopic than I would’ve guessed based on Diving Bell and Before Night Falls but what a freaking amazing cast! Some great moments but felt more like inside baseball for art scene bigwigs than about Basquiat and his thoughts/motivations/passions. Kinda felt like I understood David Bowie’s Andy Warhol (fantastic) than our supposed true focus.
