The Call 2020
A great missed opportunity to have a supernatural horror treat involving a group of youth's repressed demons and guilt, that devolves into a boring and not scary routine of one person answering the call, then getting killed, one person answering the call, then getting killed, etc.
The call sequences themselves take place in the same environment for the majority of the film, there's no unique or subtle imagery with it, it's just a spooky industrial place that's tinted orange.

The Exorcist: Believer 2023
One of the absolute worst films I've seen in a long time. I'm a big fan of both the original Exorcist and the strange and bonkers Exorcist III, and while DGG has a bit of a mixed streak with his Halloween reboots (I loved 2018 and Ends, but really did not like Kills) I was optimistic.
That was a mistake.
The first half of the film is so astonishingly boring, it's too slow paced and nothing of substance really happens…
