  When Jenny says "you don't know what love is Forrest", it's ironic, because Jenny doesn't actually know what love is herself. Throughout her whole life, pretty much every relationship she has had with a male has been abusive. From her father sexually abusing her and her sisters, to Wesley and all the guys she slept with who beat her and were violent, to the jobs she worked essentially being a stripper…
