**GRIMMFEST double bill w/EDEN LAKE**
“Thank you.”
Grimmer than ever (I’m getting old), but still holds up and makes perfect narrative sense, I’m certain.
The end of the world is nigh.
Stunning achievement. Four episodes, each remarkably a single take and a differing perspective of the story. Loads to ponder. Every performance kills. Stephen Graham breaks my heart.
Some of the finest television drama I have ever seen.
Just sublime.
Everything that is good about Japanese cinema is in here. The unsaid to tell a story, to attract emotion and provoke thought.
The final scene will linger long as one of my favourite film endings that I've seen in a long time. x

Absolute bonkers Shaw Brothers HK horror at its finest. Takes a good half hour to get going.....then just what-the-actual-f*ck comes one after another. Strong jaw and floor needed.
Can't wait to get into more SBHK horror later this month x.
