  Instead of exploring Sam as Captain America or successfully introducing new characters and groundwork for future stories, there was just a very chaotic and rather random, uninteresting plot. I was not really engaged at all and definitely expected something much more.

  I hated every single thing about this film. 

  Do straight people really enjoy such movies? And reward such films by naming them the best films of the year? It is in Barack Obama’s top-10 movies of 2024??? 4.1 rating on Letterboxd???? 94% on Rotten Tomatoes????? I have no faith in humanity anymore. 

  The whole Russian thing made me even more irritated, do not even get me started. So cringe, and all the male (+ Russian) actors were horrible. Could not care…

  Gay vampires who actually explore some new and more interesting aspects of vampirism, instead of repeating the same tedious things about garlic, mirrors, capes, crosses, etc., are just more fun I fear. 

  But also the pacing was just too slow, and the visuals and horror did not even make up for it.
  Overall, remakes should be more interesting and impressive than this.
