life is a series of choices, each leading us down different paths, and embracing the uncertainty along the way doesn’t make you the worst person in the world.

rewatched this movie after 2 years and now I’m even more in love with it. It beautifully captures the complexities of human emotions during that pivotal period in life (our twenties and thirties) when we often find ourselves torn between choices and the haunting question of "What if?"

    What resonates most with me…

imho it delves into the controversial topic of pursuing one's passion, even in the face of its destructive consequences, quite deeper than in Oppenheimer - and that’s only an anime

It’s not often that I enjoy the slowness of movies, but here - I genuinely loved every second of it. So good.
I adore how Jarmusch filmed the tenderness between two people in love. It was almost painfully specific.
And, of course, the VISUALS (costumes, carpets, colors, and Tilda Swinton being a goddess).
Probably that’s the best movie that I’ve seen about vampires (except What We Do in the Shadows lol).

For me, this movie, first of all, explores the issue of abandonment and shows every shade of it. I believe almost everyone has experienced being on both sides of it. I have cut people off from my life, and I could sense the irritation of Colm. When you can go to extremes because the other side doesn’t want to hear you (and fingers were just the exaggeration of his helplessness).
At the same time, I feel the confusion and frustration…
