Kurosawa sprinkles magic dust over this with such finesse, and in doing so makes a most surreal, visceral, and profoundly beautiful film.

It took all of 20 minutes for Dreams to have moved me to tears, and this is likely because, by the time this was made, an aging Kurosawa was able to infuse his very essence into this film.

It is a film makes you feel fearful and uncomfortable, but warm and grounded at the same time. It flicks…

For all the good of it, it's eventually somewhat shallow.

Poor acting, a terrible script, a heartless story, and a jumbled vision all hodder under a thin veil of Hindutva.

To be honest, I don't know enough about Chhatrapati Shivaji Maharaj, nor his son (who this film is about). I don't know their ideals, their history or their story.

I reckon this is probably one of the worst movies I've ever seen.

I mean, this was just - disgusting.

Sandeep Reddy Vanga is some twisted misogynistic psychopath and this is his Magnum Opus, like he stuck his hand in some huge pile of shit, grabbed whatever he could hold onto, and presented it to the world like "here - eat this all y'all stupid motherfuckers, believe that this is humanity and go forth."

Forget any morality, or any story…

I've learned a few things from this film:

    1. Everyone needs a friend like Anita (Satya Krishnan).

    2. Everyone needs a dog in their life.

    3. Manchi coffee lanti cinema really untadi.

P.S. Anita is the real heroine of this film. All hail Anita 🙏
