Southern Comfort 2001
Very affecting portrait of a southern trans community in the late 90s, the uplifting, the daily life, and the prejudices towards a man with so much love in his heart for the people in his life. The window into this type of rural america hit so close to home with the types of people I met all throughout my childhood. I wish I could live in that space for a little longer, and I wish it could have been with people as unafraid of themselves as the ones here.

Zombie Flesh Eaters 1979
I've never really been a big horror head, especially zombie stuff but for no real reason at all this has been on the list to get to *at some point* and I guess this morning was finally that point. Its alright! Its a quintessential feeling zombie movie, right up there with night of the living dead, which given its relationship too feels fitting. Its Not My Bag but I can never say no to some shots of 70s Manhattan and some awesome 'my analogue synth can be my one stop shop for this whole soundtrack' type music.
