Not as bad as it seemed it was going to be, but, nonetheless, not pleasing to look at. Why does Disney even bother with “live action” flicks when 95% of it is CGI anyway like go all the way with it. Music was decent but very sterilized and robotic sounding (very wonka-esque) and not even the gimmick of 4DX could save all the plot inconsistencies and bad performances. Lowkey the “flowers” smelt like paint thinner.

What can I say. You can barely understand what Cooper’s saying under all that makeup and almost South Park caricature style of speaking. He just keeps ramblin’ on. High point of the film for sure is the music, like Mahler’s 5th playing while he’s holding the baby was great. Cooper really exaggerates Bernstein’s style of conducting as well. It was bold of him to take on Mahler’s 2nd but it comes off as goofy more than him really feeling what’s…

Giving three stars cause of the acting and humor

The first act was really strong, like reaaaally strong; prob one of the most uncomfortably funny things I’ve seen in a long time, But then it became too self-indulgent. With every twist and turn there was in the third act: every economic, psychological, and supernatural reveal made me lose more interest with each thing that followed. Ari Aster took everything on his watchlist: Tim and Eric, W.C Fields, Possession, etc. and put them all in his blender and poured it into an overall choppy story.
