My partner and I only watched this film initially to watch the second one after with context. We watched this drunk, laughed at how goofy it was, and then half way through turned it off when it started cooking and we wanted to experience the rest sober. We watched the rest the next day and 100% made the right decision. This film rocks.

Jurassic Park 1993
I watched this first when I was 10 years old, and wasn’t scared one bit. All my little brain thought at the time was “wow the dinosaurs look so real they’re so cool!!”
Fast forward to my 26 year old brain and all I could think this time around was “wow the dinosaurs look so real, holy shit those people are going to die Jesus Christ”
A classic, and an absolute must watch. Forever quotable, one of the greats.

The Texas Chain Saw Massacre 1974
Okay when leatherface first came on screen (around 35 mins in) and enacted his first kill, I was like “oh man, this is going to be a goofy one I see.” boy was I wrong. That chase scene will probably stay in my mind forever, and the last 30 minutes of this film alone are what make it so iconic, you feel like you’re a voyeur in the worst way possible, especially during that dinner scene. Definitely worth the re-watch…
