The first half of this movie had me in hysterics- it's absolutely hilarious. I’m worried most people won’t see it since I didn’t even know it existed until today. The kids in the theater seemed confused—"who are these cartoons making dirty jokes??" They were probably thinking. At one point, a kid even asked, “Is it over yet, Dad?” halfway through. That leads to my only complaint: it runs a little too long and starts to drag near the end. Still, I’d love to see more animated films like this, though I’m not optimistic.

I heard this movie was goofy, but God damn! I was not prepared for how funny it is. The sleazeball killer is great. I especially appreciated the scenes where he watches old films on his spiderweb-covered TV, with just the back of his head visible. For some reason, that really cracked me up. It's also very relatable.

Imagine La La Land if it was filmed in Ciudad Juàrez in the late 70s. Very cool.

Not only is it probably my new favorite SOV film, it's also one of the best slashers that I've seen in a while. It's got the regional horror element (Gainesville, Florida), skateboarding, skate-punk soundtrack, and the kills are a lot of fun. Really good gore work! The killer is also really creepy, dragging his skate deck all around town.
