  not as sold on this as dawn, this is much less subtle with it’s references and imagery, while still being a satisfying end to the trilogy and to caesar’s arc. of course maurice is an absolute icon, and rocket gets fleshed out a lot more here too. ‘bad ape’ was a surprisingly great addition to the gang, adding enough comic relief without getting too marvel-y. otherwise, the little girl doesn’t really do a huge amount, and the other apes are more or…
