First off, I loved this film. one of my favourite films of the year so far.
I'm not a fan of of Elton John's music, I've never really connected with it. However the use of the music here, as part of the narrative, gave it a much richer layer than I've appreciated before.

Captain Marvel 2019
Opening Marvel logo was lovely and made me want to applaud.
Well cast, the de-aging of Nick Fury was incredible, I accepted it within moments.
I found Captain Marvel / Carol Danvers tough to empathize with, the "I got this under control" attitude left little room for character growth, and the uncovery of memory was good, but didn't feel like the character wanted it enough to give it enough audience impact. The Call of Cthulhu 2005
Saw this at a screening at the Sun Theatre in Yarraville, Victoria. It's an art Deco theatre,which was a great setting.
It's unfair to review this film in the same was as a $100m blockbuster so I'll talk about the experience.
