Serpent's Path 1998
The better of the two movies surely (both good in their own right). Again, there are many questions left unanswered. The slow descent into madness as one of the protagonists searches for a way to mend his heart after having his daughter's life taken, knowing that revenge won't satisfy (especially given the "right guy this time" factor). Also another great poster! I'm excited to explore Kurosawa's work more, and this duology was a great introduction.

so well done. constant avoidance through escapism while self-isolating, but telling yourself you're okay with being alone is unfortunately a sad reality. we need connections and community - shared experiences with people you enjoy are infinitely more fulfilling than doing things alone.
