  Slow as shit and has some of the most cliched, “movie” dialogue I’ve ever heard. Guns go off and Del Toro says “Welcome to Juárez” like fuck OFF with that MCU ass script.   It dawned on me while watching this how all these Nosferatu movies I’ve seen (Murnau, Herzog, Eggers, and now this) have the exact same plot and yet are all SO different. I think this is my favorite personally even if Murnau’s is probably superior. It really comes down to what you prefer; a monster driven by nothing but instinct or a monster who clearly LOVES what he’s doing.   Contains everything I hate about science fiction. Bloated with ideas, exposition dumps, and themes that don’t connect. It was such a tonal trainwreck, the comedic writing was terrible, and the narration drove me INSANE.
