  History will say they were co-exhibit besties, but the real ones know this was an angsty, slow-burn, enemies-to-friends-to-reluctant-lovers-to-old-married-couple kinda trope THAT THE WRITERS AND DIRECTOR WERE TOO CHICKENSHIT SCARED TO MAKE IT HAPPEN.

  This movie confirms that father-daughter duos just hit harder. Also, the Miguel O'Hara to the Kenji Sato Pipeline is REAL. Although to be fair, it's more of a Tadashi Harmada revival than anything, but I am living for it. Thirsting for hot, single, protective dads aside, this movie is incredible. From the soundtrack to the references, the characterizations, and even the story itself was fantastic. I loved every moment and am hoping for a sequel. So long as there is more Kenji and Emi quality time, I will be happy.
