Wasn’t quite what I was hoping, but good enough.

I was honestly confused that/if the movie was wanting me to be rooting for Nicholas Cage’s character (Charlie). The movie was trying to portray Charlie as the ultimate nice guy/humanitarian and his wife, Muriel, as this terrible greedy person. Muriel was definitely not perfect, but Charlie was by farrrrr from this perfect person either. He gives away 2 million dollars to a stranger without truely consulting it with his spouse, has a weird “let me give this glasses chain to…
I was very disappointed by this movie. I listened to nothing but Bob Marley’s greatest hits for 2 weeks in preparation for this film. The acting was good, it gave good insights into Bob Marley’s life and what life was like where he was living - but ultimately there was not much a story line and I was tempted to leave the theater half way through the movie because I was bored. I’ve seen movies that do a good job not having too specific of a story line but this was not one of those movies. Very sad about how mediocre this film was.
