Is it sacrilege to say this is not a patch on the Theatrical cut? Not a fair comparison, I know, given Donner wasn’t allowed to finish it but I can’t forgive the jettisoning of the Eiffel Tower sequence.
As a cultural artefact, I’m glad this exists, but as a movie, I prefer what the studio released.
