  One of my favorites ever. Love the framing of the movie, bouncing through phases of Julie’s early adulthood. Love the wonderfully flawed characters and how they navigate their problems. Themes of being lost, feeling like the worst person even even when it’s clear you’re not. Complicated relationships and trying to figure out who you are and what you want.

  The Brutalist 2024

  I held off on writing anything for this, how could I summarize my thoughts in a Letterboxd diary entry for a movie with this scope and scale. I suppose it’s enough to say that I loved it. Brody gives such a powerful performance and the cinematography and score gave Lulu and I goosebumps throughout.
