The Dark and the Wicked 2020
Ok… haven’t watched a film that got to me, like really got to me since Hereditary. This one came close. The ominous evil that lurks and is feeding off of the energy of guilt and grief of the characters in this film is what stuck the most. Creepy one for sure imo

The King Tide 2023
I love that this film really grasps the beauty of Newfoundland while showing us it through the raw emotion of the cinematography throughout this story. Almost as if they were showcasing the land alongside the characters like it was one of its own, I swear at times I could smell the air or feel the cool from the ocean while watching this suspenseful drama. We need more movies like this in theatres, not all big bang blockbusters to fill seats… This one’s an instant cult classic in my opinion. The third act will have your palms sweaty, enjoy 👌🏻
