It seems that Harmony Korine has the natural talent of portraying modern times perfectly, as seen in Spring Breakers and keeps showing it off on this one. I suffer from sleep paralysis. When I saw a clip of the first three minutes of the film, I thought that it captured exactly how experiencing sleep paralysis feels like (at least in my case), because it even had the correct length of my usual episodes. This has so many unorganized themes that revolve all over this movie like a tornado. Politics, ethics, greed, lust... It's genuinely hard to describe. Yet a very unique experience. The visuals here are accurately and funnily enough, dangerously close to what I see when i'm daydreaming. A monumental, daring, and even challenging piece.
