  it was pretty and atmospheric in places but I personally found it dull and predictable and a little silly 

  above all tho I have a lot of issues with the plot and the presentation of the relationship between the main character and the demon… the reading I’m doing for my diss tied into this film a bit too well I fear 😐

  if all the things I thought were deeply uncomfortable were intended to be that way then work of art... if they were not as deliberate as I thought then I would be v unhappy

  frame narrative + non-linear timeline mhmm

  black and white mhmm

  incredible sound design am curious to know what % of this was underscored bc it must have been most of it which made the moments of silence sm more striking and poignant 

  never felt like it was dragging (helped in part by the underscoring but also just in general) 

  amazing performances (duh)

  made me want to go back in time and do maths, further maths, physics, chem at A-Level and pursue quantum theory 🫡

  not sure abt the portrayal of women

  or the typical tortured genius scapegoat poor little man character vibes
