filem tema islami yg berlawanan arus memaparkan realiti kepelbagaian manusia dalam agama. penggunaan teknik editing yg menarik membuatkan pacing filem ini tidak membosankan. penggunaan video recorder jgk sangat menarik di tgh tgh kehidupan persentran dan menjadi tool of storytelling yg penting juga dlm filem ini.

The Shape of Night 1964
went into the film without any expectation and it blew me. its a beautiful film capturing most of neon night life in one of the darkest street in japan. dynamic performance and story led by 2 characters playing with changes of dominance in a very strange toxic romance. most of the film discussing about complexity in romance and obsession. Noboru Nakamaru is really good at using colors as one the big parts storytelling in the film. i wonder if the film inspired wong kar wai.

You Will Die at Twenty 2019
Beautifully shot, sometimes feels like too clean. the film discussed interesting topics abt people believes and culture in rural sudan. somehow the liberation theme isnt new and predictable. i kinda like how the film start and progress but then 3rd act was kinda confusing and pretentious. but its good to know i just watched 1 of 8 Sudan's film.
