I think all you need to know is that I’m clearly a Gleek.
Kit Kittredge sun, Samantha Parkington rising, and Rebecca Rubin moon.
One of my favorite plays (I embarrassingly knew so many of the lines verbatim) with an amazing cast. Usually I find Algernon and Jack to be a little boring and the play largely to coast based on Cecily and Lady Bracknell’s charm, but Ncuti was phenomenal and finally made me pay attention to the men. Also Eliza Scanlen as Cecily? Phenomenal. I’m thrilled to see her in a role that gives her loads of personality (and my personal favorite role).…
Now that I’ve seen this I can safely say Netflix did a very good job with their version and the Leo Woodall casting was impeccable.
Very sweet film but I’m so easy to please when it comes to a romcom/romdram. This just reminded me that I love Anne Hathaway so much. Also now that I’m proudly educated in 3 Robbie Williams songs, I noticed Tilly singing Angels at her wedding—goofy. Thank you Anne for proudly wearing docs with a sundress so that all the girlies can follow in your footsteps.
Thoughts forthcoming, just holding space for the lyrics of defying gravity.

Okay I sat on it for a while and here’s what I have to say in no particular order. Mind you, i know queer media so everything I have to say should be jaw dropping
1. Jonathan Bailey goodness gracious can every man please learn from him. Unparalleled charm and charisma.
2. RIP “swankified”-one of my fav parts of the original recording
3. I didn’t love the muted…
