michael caine said that he was going to perform as if this was the shakespeare theater company’s performance. it’s his commitment to take this movie seriously that makes this a solid rendition of a christmas carol. the comical moments from rizzo and gonzo help to keep it kid friendly, but they remove themselves when it’s time to get serious. perfection.

The Truman Show 1998
This is one of those movies that everyone says you need to watch, you put it off for years, and then when you watch it, you realize why everyone told you to watch it, because it is coded so similarly to some of your other favorite movies (i.e. Inside)
also meryl sucked the whole time. like Marlon was at least likable, and yes Meryl hated Truman, but like girl ACT A LITTLE HARDER.
