at certain points this film does feel like aesthetic montage with half-baked ideas. partially because of its long run-time and characters who often feel like underdeveloped vessels meant to carry these themes to the audience rather than living breathing individuals. pearce and alwyn's performance were standout amongst a sea of strong casting.
