Wanna see a 120 year old that will make you laugh?

This film is soooo ahead of its time with the fourth wall breaks, the cuts, double exposure, and the humour styles from the wry to the very dark. Some scholars even think it was released in 1902, about the same time as Méliès' A Trip To The Moon.

How is this not spoken of with the likes of Méliès' works or The Great Train Robbery?

So, are you up for a laugh? Then go here for the original, or here in colour with a score.

I hate to say it, but it took me 4 sittings to complete this, such was the monotony. Not all documentaries should be "neutral" - some benefit from a "sided-take" on a subject (eg the Holocaust).

Riotsville's concept point is that there was large scale training events for USA Police to learn how to deal with riots, which tend to involve (focus on) people of colour.

There is so much footage of these events and resulting events of this era…

I became aware of this Director's Cut after reading reviews for Dying of the Light. It can be found in the Internet Archives to watch for free.

Anyhow. This is 15 min tighter and more visceral.
It shows more of Cage's character and less of the rest.
And it focuses more on the FTD aspect of Cage's character.

The sound quality and score are pretty average, (as is picture quality at times) but this is more than compensated for by…

Who did this room?... Parker Brothers?

Watched this as I'd seen that it was a huge inspiration for Glass Onion - which it definitely is.

Fun Fact: Anthony Perkins and Stephen Sondheim used to create intricate 'Murder Mystery' puzzle parties for their friends. It was during these, that they came up with the idea for The Last of Sheila.

When you already have Norman Bates (in his only writing credit) and the brains behind Sweeny Todd writing a script, you'd…

Batman and Superman: Battle of the Super Sons

Story's decent, but using full CGI for the characters makes the movie lose something special and the characters feel awkward and part Pixar - uuuugh.

DC, bring back your usual animation style - Dont become Pixar.
