Giulietta Masina's Masterpiece
From an unknown director by the name of Federico Fellini comes one of the greatest performances reminiscent of Charlie Challins character the tramp. Masina's performance is unbelievable I rooted for her from the moment the film started. Every moment she appears she ignites the screen. VARDA's gem
This film subtle pace is what makes everything work towards those final frame. I don't have to say much about how incredible Ms. Varda was, that's a given. I do however think so much about how daring and bold she was with her career. Her approach to filming people is incredible. Some of the most intimate moments in cinema come from many of her films and this is a prime example. The first frame of this film will leave you with a sense of exploring these characters and the choices they make.
