I'm mad about Noel Coward being such a total coward that he settled for joining the fake British aristocracy and hobnobbing with the Queen Mother, who knew or should have known that the whole system of British royalty was totally fake. There's another film about being gay in Miami that won the Oscar for Best Picture, setting a standard by which this one falls totally flat.
For starters, the main character is not sympathetic, just Mr. Average Entitled Young White Gay Guy, and not even Jewish! So of course he falls back on his network of relationships in Miami when his New York relationship disintegrates. Et cetera.

OK, so this director got to make his movie so he could do it his way, ignoring contemporary production standards.
The three main cast members look good and are trying hard to act natural. Hampered by an unbelievable script.
Essentially this story of romantic and sexual failures culminates in an awkward three-way. The wife gets pregnant by her ex after her husband, who's really in love with her ex but is trying hard to be straight, can't get his wife…

SLEAZE IN THE SOPHOCLES HOE-TEL:
a hilariously awful comedy!
If director Hassan Zee had simply placed a Number 3 'Sleaze' filter over the lens in this production, he would not have had to work the cast and crew so hard to make the sleaziest film of the decade.
