Way more Linklater than I had assumed. In fact, I’m not sure what was so great about his high school hang out movies if this was already around? I suppose it’s just nostalgia for one’s own era.
Anyway, it’s a pretty good high school hangout movie. Pretty joke-free for a comedy.
Nice to see Hope so prominently featured. This started fine, but I lost interest halfway through. My apologies to John Rambo!
A slow burn but very creepy. The sound design alone gave me a pit-in-my-stomach feeling in a couple scenes. I really appreciate that no one was given a traumatic past to explain their behaviour.
My Old Ass and Red Rooms are really giving the entire Canadian experience to cinema goers this year!
